• After some investigation it became apparent that a sale to the Department of Conservation and Recreation was possible and that in fact several characteristics of the property were globally rare and worthy of protection
• Through enormous co-operation of the Seller and the Commonwealth of Virginia, the sale closed before the end of 2020
